'The Vintage Highlight' — Bakelite Hairdryer Table Lamp

The Bakelite 'Ormond' electric hairdryer was made in England by the Ormond Engineering Company Ltd. between 1935 and 1955 — a beautifully crafted object from an era when everyday appliances were built to last and designed to impress. Here, it has been set upon an ornate cast metal base of the same period and transformed into a warm, characterful table lamp.

Equally at home on a dressing table, in a hair salon, a vintage-styled study, or anywhere that deserves a genuine talking point.

Each 'Vintage Highlight' carries its own unique numbered it's a light tag — a one-of-a-kind piece.
