Large Mid-Century Modern Ringline Pendant — Dark Orange

An icon of Sixties design. This Ringline pendant was designed by Paul Boissevain for Merchant Adventurers in the 1960s — nine interlocking rings of rich dark orange plastic that create a mesmerising light-ring effect when lit. Original and beautifully characterful, complete with a white fabric cable and matching ceiling rose. A statement piece for any mid-century or retro interior. Dimensions: 29cm wide, 21cm high, with 90cm of cable.

Mid-Century Modern Ringline Pendant — Dark Orange (New Old Stock)

A rare survivor. Designed by Paul Boissevain for Merchant Adventurers in the 1960s, this Ringline pendant came from a consignment of new old stock — never used, and beautifully preserved. Its nine interlocking rings of high-quality dark orange plastic cast a distinctive light-ring glow when lit. A more compact version of the classic, complete with white fabric cable and matching ceiling rose. Dimensions: 15cm wide, 21cm high, with 90cm of cable.

1950s–1960s Mid-Century Artist's Palette Ceiling Light — White Glass with Coloured Dots

One of the most unusual pieces to pass through our hands. This extra large artist's palette-shaped shade — almost certainly produced by Napako in Czechoslovakia during the 1950s–60s — is a genuine rarity, with real impact both lit and unlit. Its clever fitting throws light both up and down, restored with a new chrome suspended arm and three-bulb lampholder, supplied with warm white LED candle bulbs. In original reclaimed condition with barely a sign of wear, and PAT tested. Dimensions: 57cm x 47cm, hanging 30cm from the ceiling.

Pair of 1950s–1960s Napako Semi-Flush Ceiling Lights — Swirling Gold Lines with Yellow & Grey Crosshatching

A hard-to-find matched pair, and a classic expression of Mid-Century Modern design. Produced by Napako in Czechoslovakia during the 1950s–60s, these glass shades combine swirling gold lines with yellow and grey crosshatching — striking both lit and unlit. Each was restored with a new chrome suspended arm and three-bulb lampholder, supplied with warm white LED candle bulbs, and PAT tested. Their fittings throw light both up and down for a wonderful ambient effect. In original reclaimed condition with barely a sign of wear. Dimensions: 50cm x 48cm, hanging 30cm from the ceiling.

Produced by Napako in Czechoslovakia during the 1950s–60s, these glass shades pair swirling gold lines with a radiant yellow and gold sunburst design — full of period impact, lit or unlit. Each was restored with a new chrome suspended arm and three-bulb lampholder, supplied with warm white LED candle bulbs, and PAT tested. A true statement piece, and one of the rarest Napako designs we've handled. Produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1950s–60s, this extra large shade juxtaposes radiating geometric lines with an abstract pattern on a pink background edged in gold — quintessentially mid-century, with real impact both lit and unlit. Restored with a new chrome suspended arm and three-bulb lampholder, supplied with warm white LED candle bulbs, and PAT tested. Its fitting throws light both up and down for a wonderful ambient effect. In original reclaimed condition with barely a sign of wear. Dimensions: 70cm x 58cm, hanging 30cm from the ceiling.

1960s White & Clear Glass Mid-Century Ceiling Light — Yellow Band & Gold Patterning

A cheerful slice of Sixties style. This white and clear glass shade is decorated with a yellow band, gold patterning and clear stripes — the perfect finishing touch for a 1960s or 70s interior. Original and full of character, complete with a white double-insulated lampholder, yellow fabric cable and a white ceiling rose. Dimensions: 26cm wide, 17cm high, with 90cm of cable.

Pair of Tall 1970s Clear Glass Pendant Lights — Frosted Banding

A sleek, elegant pair with real Seventies character. These tall clear glass shades feature frosted banding that softly diffuses the light — and were carefully matched with large tube LED filament bulbs to make the most of that effect. Complete with grey fabric cable and white ceiling roses, they'd suit any 1960s–70s interior. Original and full of character. Dimensions: 11cm wide, 27cm high, with 90cm of cable.

This German white glass shade combines pink stripes on the sides with a bold black and pink geometric pattern on the base — exactly the kind of fun, sensual, thought-provoking design the 1950s and 60s celebrated.
