'Metropolis' Steam Punk table lamp
Meet 'Metropolis' — a one-of-a-kind steampunk table lamp named after Fritz Lang's iconic 1927 German expressionist sci-fi film, and every bit as dramatic.
Crafted primarily from the parts of an EDP Productions Ltd 35mm slide and film strip projector, the lamp's beautifully cast ribbing evokes Art Deco architecture and early 20th-century cast iron radiators. It's a piece with history, character, and a story still being uncovered — if you know more about this projector's origins, we'd love to hear from you.
As Brigitte Helm's character Maria says in the film:

Comes complete with an Edison filament bulb and a pleasing soft LED glow from beneath. Each lamp carries its own individually numbered tag.
