What a fantastic Bylock hairdryer! Born in the1950s, the age of optimism. This hairdryer is a shining example of how to take an old design and remake it using new materials and new curves.

I have given it a new purpose and remade it as a hairdryer table lamp with a complementary shiny new chrome base.

Complete with a dimmer switch (easily located at night time with the small red led) which can be used to give a soft orange glow from the beautifully structured vintage filament bulb.

Bylock Electric produced their first electric hairdryer in 1945. This model is from the 1950s and is a remodelled chrome version of the late 1940s bakelite model.

The 'Light Wave' hairdryer table lamp could be that finishing touch to your interior.
