'The Brownie Hawkeye' Table Lamp

This is a genuine 1950s Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash Model camera — one of the most beloved cameras of the mid-20th century — reimagined as a compact table lamp. The body is moulded Bakelite, the forerunner of modern plastics, and it has the kind of tactile, warm quality that modern materials simply can't replicate.

The Brownie Hawkeye was manufactured between September 1950 and July 1961, originally retailing at $7.00. It took 620 film with a 2¼" square picture format. Now it takes a bulb.

A dimmer switch — with a small red LED so you can find it in the dark — lets you dial in a beautifully soft orange glow or a brighter light when needed.

Each Brownie Hawkeye carries its own unique numbered tag.
