Quirky “In The Groove” pendant ceiling light — HMV Beethoven 78 record, complete with ceiling rose and bulb

Beethoven composed some of his most extraordinary music while almost entirely deaf — a fact that makes owning anything connected to his work feel quietly remarkable. This HMV 78 record pendant is a nod to a composer who refused to be silenced, now repurposed to cast a warm glow rather than carry a melody.

All the records I use are interesting but not rare. I like to think I’ve kept the integrity of this 78, carrying out the least possible work on the record — it remains recognisably itself, just illuminated.

The light features an antique copper ES lampholder and comes complete with a retro 8 Watt Crown bronze LED bulb, an extra long 1.5m black PVC cable, and a black ceiling rose with copper cord grip and fixings.
