The 'Zeiss Nettar' Camera table lamp

Creating lighting from cameras is something of a passion. I get carried away by the romance of the early cameras and the technical detail of the later ones.

This camera, with its bellows mechanism and Art Deco styling, has been saved from obscurity and recreated as a good-looking light with a long life ahead of it.

The light is made from a vintage Nettar Zeiss Ikon camera. The Nettar series was a successful range of self-erecting folding cameras for 120 roll film, manufactured between 1949 and 1957. I have added the Capri Rangefinder on the top of the camera.

The tripod is a Wedina extendable metal tripod made in what was then West Germany and is very much in keeping with this fantastic camera.
