The ‘Signalman’ Table lamp

This piece of unusual lighting will be a striking addition to any interior setting.

The lamp is made from a late 19th century/early 20th century brass hand-held railway signal lamp. The red lens is fixed into the door which is then opened to reveal the white light. This lamp predates a change in railway signal lighting colours. Originally red indicated ‘danger’ (stop) and white was 'all clear' as opposed to green for go nowadays.

I have added the sculptured brass feet to elevate the lamp and make it even more characterful.
